Our near future

We expect to be in Kenya till end of January then we will move to Kyenjojo, western part of Uganda. We will be doing ministry of serving God in the orphanages, churches, reaching pastors, church leaders, members of church, Youth and different age of kids. We are feeling God is leading us to teach His word to His precious people.

We need you to stand with us in prayer to God to provide and meet our needs. If you are willing to  support financially God's work which we are doing or to come as a volunteer and be part of us you are very welcome to do so.
Please let us know what you feel what God is leading you to do for this ministry. We are happy and thankful to God to have you all in our lives, May God be with you always.

Henry and Mirka Kalume

Time in Kenya

After the wedding we moved to Kenya to meet Henry’s family.  So far Mirka has met few of them. We are hoping to meet the rest of the family on the 3rd of December 2011 in the village where Henry was brought up. During our time in Kenya we are also working on our marriage registration. After registration we are going to apply for Mirka’s dependant pass.

Our time in Kenya has not been easy so far. We have been struggling financially. Our account had been blocked and we did not have a place to stay. We didn’t have any money for paying rent, food transport etc.  Up to now the account is still blocked but we thank God for His faithfulness.
We have a place to stay and some little money for upkeep. Praise be to God!

On the beach in Mombasa
Mombasa is very hot for Mirka. Sometimes she wish to be lock in the cold room and not move from there.  For those of you who know about Mombasa, how humid it is then you can understand what Mirka is going through.

We will be travelling to Kyenjojo in western part of Uganda for 2weeks. There is a mission we are going to do concerning orphanage. Our friends have asked us to help them to prepare and organise Christmas parties for about 500 kids. After the Christmas parties we will come back to Kenya. So remember us in your prayers.

The Wedding

We thank God and everyone who stood with us in prayers and financial support during our wedding preparation. It was colourful!! :)
The day was good, it was shining and hot in the morning, in the afternoon it looked as if there was going to be a storm but all in all it never hindered the process. We did not expect it to be that colourful but because of God and you standing with us we made it. It was a nice surprise to see some of you whom we did not expect to be there but you made it. Wow!! :) Thank you again for the wedding gifts, your comments on our wedding pictures and we are so grateful for that. May God bless you abundantly.

To avoid tiring you with reading, there will be a DVD of the our wedding available in two months time. If you would like to see, please let us know (available for a small contribution  towards our ministry here in Africa).
